Choose life

Thursday 27 Dec
Dream .......... In my dream I was preparing for my preach this coming Sunday. The scripture given me in the dream was the Choose Life passage from Deuteronomy ....... still in my dream I spent some time thinking about it and about the old and new covenant.  Suddenly I was in church on the Sunday and I had not written anything down - I knew the message was in my heart - but as I like to have notes (need notes) I left the service during the worship time to write down my four main points.  I sat quietly with a piece of paper (almost like a post-it-note) and wrote down my four points - but I could not see what I had written and then I was called into the service to give the talk.  There was no sense of panic (which I get into a bit before preaching)

As I woke up from the dream I knew in my spirit that the key message was that this was about choice and that we, individually and as the body of Christ, have a small window of opportunity to make the choice between life and death / curses and blessings.

Wednesday 2 January
Vision ......... I was walking along the pavement in central London (very much like Victoria street where the pavement is broad) and suddenly - moving towards me - the pavement was heaving and concrete blocks were being ripped open as in an earthquake.  The pavement continued to break open with the gap increasing and I knew as it came towards me that I had to make a choice to jump to either one side or another or I would fall into the open chasm that was coming towards me.

The new day will dawn

Sunday 23 Dec 2007
Vision of an African plain just before dawn ......... everything silent, almost of holding a collective breath in anticipation of the dawn.  The sky was clear and on the horizon was the hint of a spectacular sunrise. I felt such an intense peace with a sense that everything (trees, animals, humans) was bowed in anticipation of the dawn.

In my spirit I heard the whisper "The new day is dawning"

The picture, rather rudely and suddenly, switched to an air-force base runway, again it was dawn and my eyes were drawn to the tail end of a fighter jet (I could only see the rear end of it) and suddenly the engine roared into life and the flames and heat came out from the back.  I had the sense that the fighter jet was being revved in anticipation of 'take-off'  - very like the jets that take off from the ships - they rev like mad then almost catapult off the ship.
