2011 GET TO THE TASK (WAKE UP)

SLEEPER ARISE, SERPENT HEAD IS CRUSHED and CAST YOUR BREAD UPON THE WATERS (Sunday 2 January 2011)

It is time to wake up; the alarm is ringing and it is time to come out from the comfort the spiritual duvet. It is time to wake up and get to the task. Some have been seduced into comfort zones but the Holy Spirit will enable you to hear the alarm and to arise from that place of sleep. The serpents’ head is crushed and there is victory in personal and corporate situations.

Joy

WHY? (Ecclesiastes 11:1 to 8) It is time to cast your bread on the waters;
even though this may appear random with no purpose and with no expectation of it coming back to you – in the hands of Holy Spirit, anything is possible and you will see the results of what you do in His name and for His kingdom. The works of God defy human explanation.

It is time to start taking risks in the name of Jesus, throw caution to the wind; there is never a right time or right circumstance to cast the bread on the water. The person who is so cautious that they must wait for the ideal time before they make a move is doomed to fail.

Be generous to a fault! Generous in time, money, resources, encouragement and spirit etc – give even when there is nothing to give and with no expectation of any form of return or recompense.

Do not hold back from getting involved in kingdom business and in sharing with others the hope and salvation that is Christ Jesus. Let the success or failure of a task rest in the hand of God – BUT GET TO THE TASK!

(Combination of words, scripture and vision from both the morning service at FHCC and evening at Malham Centre)
